Yarmouth Area Minor Baseball Association is looking for a responsible and enthusiastic youth for an exciting opportunity as a Youth Program Coordinator. The Youth Program Coordinator would be responsible for designing and implementing programming for youth in Yarmouth and surrounding areas in keeping with Baseball NS and Baseball Canada’s development programs and the Long-Term Athlete Development principles.
Reporting to the YAMBA Executive Committee, and with support from executive members, coaches, and volunteers, this exciting opportunity would include:
- Planning and implementing skill sessions
- Engaging youth
- Leading groups in activities
- Promoting healthy living
- Communicating with coaches, players and parents
- Maintain a safe and accessible environment
- Foster inclusiveness and diversity
- Making a difference
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience leading youth
- Experience with baseball training
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to adapt to needs of youth
- Dependability
- Organization skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Positivity
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
Using provided equipment and training, the Youth Program Coordinator would engage all youth in a positive manner to improve and advance baseball skills while focusing on personal development and fun!
Anticipated start date: June 16, 2025
Number of weeks in term: 9
Number of hours per week: 30
Hourly wage: $17.00
